- Concerning use:
Why not require everyone who wants to use Adempiere name on any website to become a Supporting Member of Adempiere eV? Isn't this what it means to use Adempiere eV as custodian of name and trademark? From this perspective, all Official Implementors should be asked to become supporting members of Adempiere eV at the next Official Implementors meeting. (zeeshanhasan)
Proper attribution: Every user of the name or logo shall publicly acknowledge that XXX is the owner of the Adempiere trademark by including the text Adempiere is the registered trademark of XXX in YYY and other countries. in web pages, advertisements, publications or media broadcast
- Concerning consequences:
empower some body to enforce the rules with clear punishments (globalqss)
FWIW, I believe the only consequence we can truly enforce is a 'Scams' page on adempiere.com that lists violators of the rules. (jssolutions)
I don't think the only punishment is a 'Scam' page, the people abusing the Adempiere name breaking the accepted rules can be banned from project if they refuse to fix the abuse. (globalqss)
