(05:03:06) viola [~viola@pd95b04f9.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] entered the channel.
(05:03:15) viola: Hello
(05:03:48) CarlosRuiz: Hi Jörg
(05:04:46) viola: After hengsin suspended his support for PMC arch - I think we must evaluate the consequences
(05:05:38) trifon: hi everyone
(05:05:49) viola: to be honest - I have no idea how to proceed
(05:05:53) trifon: viola: it looks like i missed this.
(05:05:54) tony_tspc [~tsnook@123-2-85-17.static.dsl.dodo.com.au] entered the channel.
(05:06:41) viola: he announced that via e-mail to the PMC arch members
(05:07:00) viola: hope I didn't misunderstand him
(05:07:35) trifon: i see.
(05:07:52) trifon: unfortunately i do not track pmc mail lists. so i missed the email.
(05:08:16) viola: It was not on the mailing list but PM instead
(05:08:45) viola: Carlos did these things happen in other groups also?
(05:08:57) CarlosRuiz: no
(05:09:11) viola: ok so what does it mean
(05:10:45) CarlosRuiz: Jörg, I would prefer to focus on architectural things on this meeting - we can have a personal chat about other issues if you prefer
(05:11:33) viola: Carlos, of course. Only I don't know what to discuss about which topics on this meeting
(05:12:08) CarlosRuiz: Low sent a big file with webui working
(05:12:13) CarlosRuiz: unfortunately I haven't reviewed it
(05:12:35) CarlosRuiz: also good news - as annotated in wiki I finally have my osgi scenario working
(05:12:38) viola: you mean this spring dm thing?
(05:12:48) CarlosRuiz: yep - that one
(05:13:27) viola: congrats! may I ask you to document your problems with the setup?
(05:13:55) CarlosRuiz: I did in the talk page ... let me check the link
(05:15:24) CarlosRuiz: http://www.adempiere.com/index.php/Talk:ADempiere/Equinox_Integration_2
(05:15:27) viola: I see - fine!
(05:16:20) viola: aha so you tried running from within eclipse?
(05:16:59) CarlosRuiz: yep - it ran after disabling the plugin bundle and disabling the libero validator
(05:18:03) viola: I see - I don't do this and so do not see these problems. You have to be aware that you are in a completely different environment (other equinox version etc) - but if it works - great!
(05:18:45) CarlosRuiz: I'm in eclipse 3.5.1
(05:19:01) CarlosRuiz: sorry - 3.5.2
(05:19:32) viola: I tried to provide a defined equinox target decoupled from the developers eclipse installation
(05:21:03) CarlosRuiz: hengsin committed a couple of issues and now is working OOTB
(05:21:15) viola: good
(05:21:45) viola: how do you make sure the end-user uses the same equinox version as the developer?
(05:22:46) CarlosRuiz: ah - hard to know - we deploy some specific jars - but develop with those within eclipse, right?
(05:23:05) viola: in the setup you use - yes.
(05:23:12) viola: in my setup - no ;-)
(05:23:43) viola: the equinox-target project holds a complete equinox platform
(05:24:02) viola: which on RUN_build is installed in the install area
(05:24:16) viola: and then via RUN_plugin is updated
(05:24:37) viola: this way we provided a well-defined runtime container
(05:24:56) CarlosRuiz: but in eclipse is not pointing to those jars
(05:25:05) CarlosRuiz: but to the specific eclipse version jars
(05:25:09) CarlosRuiz: I suppose
(05:25:56) viola: after you have done the last step in http://www.adempiere.com/index.php/ADempiere/Equinox_Integration_2#Eclipse_setup, it should
(05:26:23) viola: I suppose :-D
(05:27:18) CarlosRuiz: ah ok - so in that case is controlled
(05:28:27) CarlosRuiz: so, next thing to do must be to integrate heng sin's work on spring ?
(05:28:50) viola: hm
(05:28:54) viola: maybe
(05:29:14) viola: currently - at least for me - zkwebui is working
(05:29:56) viola: I though we should make progress on the business side - I mean trying a concrete plugin
(05:30:05) viola: accounting, as we decided
(05:30:11) viola: isn't that more important
(05:30:13) viola: ?
(05:30:29) CarlosRuiz: ok, safer meanwhile we recover Heng Sin's support  :-)
(05:30:54) viola: but spring dm may be the better solution so we also can work on that...
(05:32:23) CarlosRuiz: I still haven't tested how to develop a plugin - need to take the course this week  :-)
(05:32:53) viola: ok then I will try to get this spring thing working....
(05:33:24) viola: and try to support red1 on the accounting plugin
(05:35:48) viola: any more topics?
(05:36:18) CarlosRuiz: not this week I guess
(05:36:53) viola: Ok then thank you Carlos!
(05:37:13) CarlosRuiz: thanks to you for attending
