I'm writing some considerations about the POS systems. We need enhance the POS functionality and architecture and I want to contribute to it with some expertise I have after have worked +10 years in this type of environment. Of course, all comments are welcome!

This is great, and i notice in the latest Compiere/ADempiere is getting bit better in its POS. Also Carlos has put Lofx codes into SVN/contribution. Maybe u can advice if its useful or substantially good for further works, or shuld we completely redo? - Red1 19:28, 22 December 2006 (EST)

Small correction :-) I didn't put the Lofx codes into SVN, I received by e-mail, tried to make the integration and failed. I also noticed that it can have have some licensing issues, so maybe it's better that author integrate and publish it. / CarlosRuiz 20:11, 22 December 2006 (EST)

So from your quick study of Lofx's codes, how is it better than the present JJ ones? - Red1

At the same time I was reviewing possible integration with another projects like RedPOS or TinaPOS. I think if a POS is not contributed soon we can look to open a project that way, but maybe this must be a recommendation of this study being made by Alejandro / CarlosRuiz 08:35, 23 December 2006 (EST)

Hengsin is also looking into TinaPos etc, cos his company did a customised solution for a large POS before. He be good addition to team here. Red1

I'm looking the synPOS project. They are very young (as us); the project was registered on September 1th. and the status is Alpha still, but they have very interesting features (some of them under development still). Alejandro 15:10, 27 December 2006 (GMT -3:00)
