I learned in my design course at university not to use more than two (or three) different font styles (italic, bold, different size, color, font) - and I have counted 12 (or so) in your text :) That's why I just couldn't resist... Kthiemann 13:50, 3 May 2007 (EDT)
Both are right. But because Fred has debated internally about it, then he is more right IMHO. It is dependent (i my unqualified opinion) on 2 factors:
  • His design must be DIFFERENT from the rest. This is called contrast and distillation from clutter or background noise which is very noisy with so much content comin in everyday. When i first saw it, i wanted to cry and tell posterita to hire a web artist. But then i think, Wait a minute. Don't they know that? It is a trick.
  • His words should engage readers into a self conversation. So far his engaged me.
