ADEMPIERE/iDEMPIERE IS A FREE LIBRE OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE PROJECT (FLOSS) AS DEFINED BY RICHARD STALLMAN UNDER THE GNU PUBLIC LICENSE PRINCIPLES OF FREE AS IN FREEDOM NOT FREE LUNCH. THIS PROJECT DOES NOT FOLLOW THE OPEN CORE OR COMMERCIAL VERSION OF FLOSS WHICH USES TRICKY TACTICS TO HOODWINK USERS IN DOWNLOADING THE SOFTWARE MAKING IT VIRAL BUT CLOSED UP AT CERTAIN CRITICAL POINTS FOR PURE PROFIT ABOVE COMMUNITY. TRUE OPEN SOURCE BELIEVES YOU CAN ALREADY THRIVE AS THE PUBLIC USES YOU FREELY, OPENLY AND IN VIRAL MANNER. BY NEVER CLOSING ANYTHING UP, IT GIVES ASSURANCE AND CONFIDENCE TO THE PUBLIC OVER THE LONG TERM THAT SUCH A PROJECT IS RELIABLE, A CERTAINTY, AND WELL SUPPORTED BY A GUARANTEED HUGE USER BASE. MANY USERS CONTRIBUTE BACK BY TESTING, EXPOSING BUGS, REPORTING TO THE COMMUNITY, GETTING MORE FIXED OR GIVING PARTIAL FIXES AND SUPPORTING OTHER USERS AND NEWBIES FREELY. ALL THIS ADDS UP TO WHAT IS KNOWN AS A HEALTHY SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY, WITHOUT WHICH ANY FLOSS PROJECT IS DEAD. THE TOP CONTRIBUTORS ARE HONOURED BASED ON WHAT THEY DID TO THE PROJECT: SOFTWARE CODE, ITS FUNCTIONALITY, IDEAS, DESIGN, PROGRESS, FIXES, DOCUMENTATION AND SOCIETY AND BELOW IN MY OPINION ARE:
