RE and WF
Like to point out the possibility that WF (WorkFlow) can be a good RE as it also have Status as in Facts and Conditions as in Rules. If this is so then it be ingenius to reuse much of WF now present in ADempiere instead of cracking open a new bottle :D -- Red1 10:42, 1 May 2007 (EDT)
Thank you but looks like I haven't made the line between RE and WF clear enough as WF is a broader concept covering RE as one of its possible components. As you've correctly mentioned, Status, Facts, Docs and Conditions are the ingredients of WF; obviously Conditions are the rules and Facts and Status and whatever we can fetch from Ctx and database are facts; fed into the RE they decide on the new Status of Docs and the possible actions to take before/after the status change. In other words, RE is a tool which WF may or may not use it. --Bahman
