This feature will enable ADempiere to process incoming email messages and transform them into Requests.

Requirements

  • Define a POP(or imap ?) email account that will be parsed by ADempiere
  • Create in ADempiere new Request from incoming email according to processing rules
  • Append message to existing Request when Request case ID is available in email Subject
  • Create ADempiere email alerts with Request case ID in email subject
  • Manage spams

Future :

    • define multiple email accounts with specific processing rules
    • provide web access to Request and enable replies and follow-up directly from web
    • create workflow templates for processing Requests (escalation, reminders, reassignment)

(We currently use Mantis for Request tracking. Having similar features in ADempiere would be great...)
