  • Jan 24 09:41:47 <hengsin> red1: Selamat Pagi :)
  • Jan 24 09:42:14 <hengsin> I'm working today but will try to help where possible.

  • Jan 24 09:43:40 <red1> guys this is hengsin.. our Commit Head
  • Jan 24 09:44:18 <josh-conversant> :)
  • Jan 24 09:45:17 <racd> hello hengsin, nice to know u
  • Jan 24 09:45:19 <red1> perhaps to explain abit.. we use trackers alot.. and we monitor that .. i.e. auto get emails from them
  • Jan 24 09:45:29 <josephnexus> YAY... pljava finished installing on this machine
  • Jan 24 09:45:52 <red1> bugs and features requests.. etc... so that its easy to track tings and as they prorgress along
  • Jan 24 09:46:25 <red1> we use forums for discussions... to make things visible again for tracking dicussions, that are bit unsure about bugs etc
  • Jan 24 09:46:31 <xp_prg> I mean josh-conversant were are you from?
  • Jan 24 09:51:44 <ramiro> gtg

  • Jan 24 09:53:41 <josh-conversant> im from New Zealand
  • Jan 24 09:58:11 <racd> for adempiere login window, why adempiere should display "Server" (server setting connection).
  • Jan 24 09:58:21 * lianto (i=penguin@125.163.17.25) has joined #adempiere
  • Jan 24 09:59:01 <racd> can we just remove it, and only certain2 user will see the field during login.
  • Jan 24 09:59:35 <racd> i think this "server" can cause a lot of confusion for the normal user.
  • Jan 24 10:00:16 <josh-conversant> i dont see why not as the server is set in Adempier.properties
  • Jan 24 10:00:53 <josh-conversant> you will need to edit the source and perhaps compile a few different versions of the client
  • Jan 24 10:00:55 <red1> hmm good question
  • Jan 24 10:01:10 <racd> and its also may cause the end user can simply change the setting during login
  • Jan 24 10:01:36 <red1> hengsin has done silent setup routine to make it easier for lay users to setup
  • Jan 24 10:01:39 <josh-conversant> why not use the web UI?
  • Jan 24 10:01:54 <red1> maybe racd idea can make it more silent rite up to the dialog box
  • Jan 24 10:02:00 <racd> may u right josh.
  • Jan 24 10:02:10 * AndyGraybeal has quit (Connection timed out)
  • Jan 24 10:02:13 <red1> our webui like i said earlier i tested yesterday has gone bonkers
  • Jan 24 10:02:22 <red1> cant access any windows
  • Jan 24 10:02:28 <josh-conversant> :'(
  • Jan 24 10:02:35 <red1> i am tracking some more bugs that are high in the priority list
  • Jan 24 10:02:45 <red1> at least to replicate them
  • Jan 24 10:03:01 <red1> and understand further if its true or not been a bug or is there a workaround
  • Jan 24 10:03:13 <josh-conversant> racd: The login gui and settings are either hard coded or populated from Adempiere.properties so compiling a few versions of the client would be an easy alternative
  • Jan 24 10:03:27 <red1> i would peer into the codes, my vista allowing... my eclipse keep getting bommbed
  • Jan 24 10:03:27 <racd> if not webui, maybe we can use simple UI that only show Username, password and language field.
  • Jan 24 10:03:42 <red1> yes racd it sounds logical
  • Jan 24 10:04:18 <red1> i think its a matter of turning it off the screen.. and maybe have a admin button to turn it back on
  • Jan 24 10:04:31 <red1> why dont u try it racd and post it to contributions :)
  • Jan 24 10:04:52 <red1> or just post a dummy screen to SF and ask others what they think
  • Jan 24 10:04:59 <josh-conversant> I cannot get the Role,Client & Org fields to populate using the Web UI in either firefox2 or ie7.. I have got them to populate when u log in as a client who has only one role
  • Jan 24 10:05:01 <red1> i m sure its a good idea.. didnt think of it!
  • Jan 24 10:05:02 <racd> and we can set special user and password who can change the server setting
  • Jan 24 10:05:24 <red1> i could get it josh-conversant ..last trunk yesterday
  • Jan 24 10:05:32 <red1> i using IE on vista
  • Jan 24 10:05:57 <racd> o.k red1
  • Jan 24 10:05:57 <red1> yeah racd.. so we only allow superuser login then he can see the server setting
  • Jan 24 10:06:09 <red1> if he login as normal user he cannot see that
  • Jan 24 10:06:20 <racd> that right.
  • Jan 24 10:06:24 <red1> better user experience i suppose
  • Jan 24 10:06:33 <josh-conversant> but the login screen settings (the first screen loaded) does not get any info from database
  • Jan 24 10:06:53 <red1> yeah..what i think racd mean is that it need not just yet
  • Jan 24 10:07:00 <red1> so no need to show those fields
  • Jan 24 10:07:10 <josh-conversant> so the setting whether or not to display the server field would have to be built in to the client
  • Jan 24 10:07:11 <red1> just have a usual simple login first
  • Jan 24 10:07:16 <red1> yep
  • Jan 24 10:07:22 <red1> thats what i think racd propose
  • Jan 24 10:07:30 * catsapiens has quit ("Leaving")
  • Jan 24 10:07:36 <red1> if u login as say SuperAdmin then system reveal for u to do more
  • Jan 24 10:07:45 <josh-conversant> yea but what if you are SuperUser and u need to set up which server to login too
  • Jan 24 10:07:46 <red1> for normal users.. u know.. they re dumb
  • Jan 24 10:07:56 <racd> as superuser, maybe another window that consist of this server setting after login screen
  • Jan 24 10:08:00 <red1> u sign in first
  • Jan 24 10:08:38 <red1> or just part of the first window as a nother tab that appears when u sign in right
  • Jan 24 10:08:40 <josh-conversant> but if server setting wrong and u want to login as SuperUser to change it, how will you log in without the client knowing which server to talk to?
  • Jan 24 10:08:52 <racd> yes right
  • Jan 24 10:08:52 <red1> u go to properties then
  • Jan 24 10:08:58 <red1> its an admin job
  • Jan 24 10:09:03 <josh-conversant> yea
  • Jan 24 10:09:04 <red1> sounds techie
  • Jan 24 10:09:07 * AndyGraybeal (i=minDlabs@node248.34.251.72.1dial.com) has joined #adempiere
  • Jan 24 10:09:12 <red1> but that means its a techie job
  • Jan 24 10:09:51 <red1> now hengsin has already made that simpler
  • Jan 24 10:10:10 <red1> he has allowed bypass of checkign the server as we used to do in compiere each time we login
  • Jan 24 10:10:20 <red1> but the server field still appears
  • Jan 24 10:10:43 <josh-conversant> racd: there a few options, maybe like red1 said, build a client where there is no server field.. when the server needs to be set the admin goes and edits Adempiere.properties
  • Jan 24 10:10:44 <red1> so i think we just put a well written note there
  • Jan 24 10:10:45 <hengsin> josh-conversant: the web ui is beta only, we should concentrate first on the swing client and adempiere core bugs for now.
  • Jan 24 10:11:09 <red1> hear ye
  • Jan 24 10:11:12 <racd> i think in one organization, only certain person etc: chief Clerk that able to change the setting
  • Jan 24 10:11:29 <racd> not all the user
  • Jan 24 10:11:54 <red1> nyway, we can look at other ERPs and see how they do it..for now lets get our bug day warm up
  • Jan 24 10:12:06 <red1> lets go to the trackers and comb the bugs threads
  • Jan 24 10:12:08 <hengsin> josh-conversant - server setting can't be managed remotely using Adempeire client at the moment.
  • Jan 24 10:12:38 <red1> hengsin, so its only at server side?
  • Jan 24 10:12:44 <hengsin> red1, yes.
  • Jan 24 10:13:10 <red1> then maybe racd can help design a client only interface that doesnt need that not in use server settings
  • Jan 24 10:13:16 <hengsin> for end user, the normal routine is to connect to the application server and the rest of the setting will be populated from the server.
  • Jan 24 10:13:26 <red1> or propopse it under FR = Feature request.. so that others can help to do it
  • Jan 24 10:13:48 <red1> last time i tot we could do it..
  • Jan 24 10:13:58 <red1> perhaps due to the new changes for security..
  • Jan 24 10:14:08 <hengsin> also, the application server field will be auto populated if using webstart.
  • Jan 24 10:14:29 <red1> yes thatrs rite.. since it fetches already from that server it pointed to
  • Jan 24 10:14:33 <hengsin> anyway, we should concentrate on bug for today :)
  • Jan 24 10:14:38 <racd> is my plesure to design the screen
  • Jan 24 10:14:46 <red1> yep! to the trackers!
  • Jan 24 10:15:19 <red1> racd, u can look thru the bugs in SF.. and see which one u think u familiar with.. i think thats how we shall all start
  • Jan 24 10:15:32 <red1> and we can enter comments there, or discuss here if needed
  • Jan 24 10:17:40 <josh-conversant> hengsin: I am new to Adempiere, have spent a few weeks using it and have managed to add a new LDAP class which connects to a OpenLDAP server, i have also added a customer PaymentProcessor which uses my banks API.. I am not too familar with ERP systems nor with Adempiere.. I will have a look over the bugs and find something simple.. I am looking to become an active developer and contribute back all code i develop
  • Jan 24 10:18:44 <hengsin> yeap, we need more hand and eye ;)
  • Jan 24 10:20:11 <hengsin> for new feature, carlos have just added bsh scripting for callout, if someone can add groovy support, that will be great ( it is not very difficult but is of high value ).

  • Jan 24 10:31:15 <red1> if u re good and well behaved u go up :-)
  • Jan 24 10:31:42 <red1> that explains why i m still down here *lol*
  • Jan 24 10:32:16 <red1> groovy support? hmm sumtin kontro shuld do for us
  • Jan 24 10:32:40 <josh-conversant> haha ok cool, i doubt i will solve any today but i will definitly work on some over the next few weeks

  • Jan 24 11:03:10 <red1> ok wait i try to check
  • Jan 24 11:03:51 <red1> as i told there.. i think it happenened before not due to bug
  • Jan 24 11:04:01 <red1> can u confirm it still happens racd?
  • Jan 24 11:04:09 <red1> did u investigate since u have the source
  • Jan 24 11:06:12 <racd> i did a research, and i found that the core of this problem maybe in the process of receiving material.
  • Jan 24 11:07:28 <xp_prg> ok see you all tomorrow
  • Jan 24 11:07:30 * xp_prg is now known as xp_gone
  • Jan 24 11:11:04 <red1> bye! xp_gone
  • Jan 24 11:11:24 <red1> racd.. u can write some more on what u found
  • Jan 24 11:11:28 <red1> so that it can be proven
  • Jan 24 11:11:56 <red1> i notice this bug before.. but sometimes only
  • Jan 24 11:12:02 <red1> intermittent bug i think

  • Jan 24 11:30:50 <red1> sorry the incumvent POS client
  • Jan 24 11:30:54 <CarlosRuiz> I've seen a button "Online" in Payment window
  • Jan 24 11:31:11 <red1> i heard trifon trying to finish it
  • Jan 24 11:31:18 <red1> we now have two POS
  • Jan 24 11:31:24 <CarlosRuiz> it must be calling the class org.compiere.process.PaymentOnline
  • Jan 24 11:31:24 <red1> one is java, the other Posterita
  • Jan 24 11:31:37 <red1> and 1 more the incumbent WebStore
  • Jan 24 11:33:40 <red1> ijam_duo, the conversation u had with trifon .. u can paste it in SF or your own wiki as sub topic.. u can edit out any private info ..
  • Jan 24 11:34:06 <red1> hope racd pass this to ijam_duo .. cos that YM he had is important info for replication
  • Jan 24 11:34:20 <red1> at least for other newbies
  • Jan 24 11:36:20 <josh-conversant> CarlosRuiz: Yea the online button does the trick, i think where it is place is a little misleading
  • Jan 24 11:37:12 <josh-conversant> CarlosRuiz: it is placed right next to the "Voice Auth Code" as if it relates to that field, no probs though
  • Jan 24 11:37:19 <racd> red1: i also did search on bug tracker, for product in problem. but there is no such problem in the list
  • Jan 24 11:37:46 <red1> its strange because its such a common bug u saying
  • Jan 24 11:37:54 <red1> how come others dont have this bug?
  • Jan 24 11:38:15 <red1> u can post in that SF thread earlier how u test for it..
  • Jan 24 11:38:21 <red1> does it still happen now?

  • Jan 24 11:41:34 <red1> panji_alam, one bug = sepuluh rial
  • Jan 24 11:41:49 <red1> not so racd ... there are many small bugs solved in the tracker

  • Jan 24 18:17:04 <croo> well functionaly you probably won't se ethe difference between today and stable release .. so does no harm to start working with trunk
  • Jan 24 18:17:28 <red1> pelgrim, managed it well by been prepared now
  • Jan 24 18:17:29 <pelgrim> I make my current client happy and then I shall see

  • Jan 24 18:17:39 <red1> more rum eh
  • Jan 24 18:19:28 <croo> I did a sync with svn this morning ... did a run_importadempiere to get a clean DB ... now when I apply the migration script 331b_trunk - 046) I get uniqe constraint errors
  • Jan 24 18:19:39 <pelgrim> I think first step will be a demo, but I can take an earlier release for that

  • Jan 24 18:24:00 <red1> i think i will settle for the receipts in serial number each line workaround bug
  • Jan 24 18:24:02 <croo> probably more but the first one give unique constraint
  • Jan 24 18:24:10 <croo> normally that means the script was run already
  • Jan 24 18:24:23 <red1> negative
  • Jan 24 18:24:29 <red1> very first script has no errors

  • Jan 24 18:27:29 <croo> is closed .. do you want us to test it armen? just reading it first time... if it AUTO approve why do you wish them to choose? doesn't auto mean they don't it's just automatic?
  • Jan 24 18:27:30 <red1> how many errors u got?
  • Jan 24 18:27:47 <croo> red1, all inserts

  • Jan 24 18:31:36 <red1> cos 331b doesnt has those
  • Jan 24 18:31:39 <croo> armenrz, yes I get that bit ok. it's just a first reaction so perhaps I haven't understood BUT my point is; isn't that the meaning of AUTO... they don't choose it's AUTOmatically approved
  • Jan 24 18:31:48 <red1> i confirm twiceon two machines
  • Jan 24 18:31:58 <croo> red1, I didn't I just did a run_importAdempiere and it seemed to run without errros

  • Jan 24 19:08:11 <fer_luck> Then go over to the Window, Tab & Field and look up for the Sales Order window
  • Jan 24 19:08:36 <fer_luck> add the Order field to the first tab, and make it a included tab with the Order Lines
  • Jan 24 19:08:47 <fer_luck> then try to look at the taxes of the sales order that previously had it..

  • Jan 24 23:04:59 <hwinke1> @MWeber, yes there are many ERP efforts... I havent seen so many you actually can use in Germany...
  • Jan 24 23:04:59 <rvergara> As for the third issue, Janke denied any plans to restrict functionality of Compiere in order to make a separate closed-source offering more attractive. I would also add that if a closed source offering made any use of Compiere's source code, it would by definition need to be an open source product. After our discussion, Janke wrote an even stronger rebuttal of this point:
  • Jan 24 23:05:01 <rvergara> There is certainly no plan to cripple the product or discontinue or "privatize" functionality - the very opposite is the case. We will continue to develop substantial new functionality Open Source, and hope to increase Open Source contributions from the community. It's disconcerting to see people spreading unsubstantiated false rumors in this regard.

About Atribut set instance, I think that the serial number, which apear in the PO after compliting Receipt, should not apear. If we look inProduct under transaction, all the serial numbers are OK.

  • Jan 24 23:32:50 <crooney> comments on invoices? yeah I think that should be allowed ...
  • Jan 24 23:32:53 <SCalderon> yes i can, but when I move from one lacator to the other i have two different lots with the same lot number and the same guarantee date
  • Jan 24 23:33:08 <CarlosRuiz> ok mark_o_ - let's implement it
  • Jan 24 23:33:18 <CarlosRuiz> Mark, do you want commit rights?
  • Jan 24 23:33:18 <mark_o_> ;-)
  • Jan 24 23:33:27 <mark_o_> that was a damn quick vote
  • Jan 24 23:33:33 <CarlosRuiz> hahahaha
  • Jan 24 23:33:35 <crooney> SCalderon, ah yes .. should be only those in the from locator ... yes

  • Jan 24 23:33:44 <hengsin> hi Joel
  • Jan 24 23:34:24 <crooney> :) i doubt it ... I thinmk if you look back you'll find lots of places I got it wrong :)
  • Jan 24 23:34:27 <mark_o_> hi carlos. commit rights would be nice. i could then do the reviewing of the bugs from our metas guys here
  • Jan 24 23:35:12 <CarlosRuiz> well, I suppose we can do another damn quick voting between committers asking for mark_o_ rights
  • Jan 24 23:35:40 <crooney> ok by me :)
  • Jan 24 23:35:51 <SCalderon> crooney,i have a client, who has allready three different lots of the same type with different quantities.
  • Jan 24 23:36:06 <hengsin> +1 from me :)
  • Jan 24 23:36:28 <CarlosRuiz> +1 from me too - what do you think? vpj-cd, tony_tspc, red1, xp_gone, fer_luck, AFalcone
  • Jan 24 23:36:33 <crooney> SCalderon, yes susanne you are correct - I was thinking serial number but actually the lot could be in many different places at once
  • Jan 24 23:37:26 <crooney> SCalderon, i think that is perhaps a flaw (I need to look closely again) but I susopect both Lots & Serial numbers are treated as unique
  • Jan 24 23:37:30 <MCalderon> tobi42: yes it is a weary job. As it is a little complex, could you read page 22 of my document, where I explain example MinOut.processIt() ?
  • Jan 24 23:37:57 <crooney> so but only serial numbers are
  • Jan 24 23:38:26 <SCalderon> crooney, i will look at the lot window, how it is configured
  • Jan 24 23:38:27 <CarlosRuiz> ready mark_o_ - you have commit permissions with +1 from colin, hengsin, carlos
  • Jan 24 23:38:28 <MCalderon> tobi42: there I explain what happens from the moment MinOut.processIt() is called
  • Jan 24 23:38:48 <vpj-cd> yes I cant not problem if exist a mentor :-)
  • Jan 24 23:39:38 <crooney> SCalderon, I thin kit's more the likely in the Attribute Set window
  • Jan 24 23:39:59 <mark_o_> crooney, hengsin, CarlosRuiz Thanx alot guys, it's an honor for me
  • Jan 24 23:40:01 <vpj-cd> Mario what is the issue with lot and serial
  • Jan 24 23:40:01 <vpj-cd> ?
  • Jan 24 23:40:14 <vpj-cd> or attributes
  • Jan 24 23:40:38 <CarlosRuiz> ok, I can be the Mark's mentor meanwhile - although maybe I'm not a good mentor :-) ask fer_luck
  • Jan 24 23:40:39 <tobi42> MCalderon: I'm on it
  • Jan 24 23:40:58 <MCalderon> toby42: OK

  • Jan 24 23:43:43 <vpj-cd> armenrz have you complete link :-)
  • Jan 24 23:43:51 <armenrz> it's not
  • Jan 24 23:44:05 <armenrz> croo: it's not
  • Jan 24 23:44:21 <CarlosRuiz> no Mark, I mean I'm the mentor for fernando - but as mostly I'm not available on IRC maybe I'm not so good mentor
  • Jan 24 23:44:23 <SCalderon> vpj, hi victor, i have 2 locators, one to receive material, one to deliver. I move my material from the one to the other. when i receive material i can choose the lot only from the lots i have in this locator, but it may be, that this lot exists in locator 2. when i create a new lot and move it to locator 2 i have ther two different lots which are the same (same number and guarantee date)
  • Jan 24 23:44:41 <CarlosRuiz> but fernando contacts me via skype whenever he needs me

  • Jan 24 23:45:41 <crooney> I don't seem to making any progress with it
  • Jan 24 23:46:10 <mark_o_> ah, ok
  • Jan 24 23:46:20 <vpj-cd> thank a lot Armen
  • Jan 24 23:46:58 <armenrz> all we need is to treat the cost as negative for return trx
  • Jan 24 23:47:01 * muthah has quit (Read error: 104 (Connection reset by peer))
  • Jan 24 23:47:21 <tobi42> MCalderon: so the MInOut creates a DoucumentEngine, puts itself into that engine and makes the engine process itself. like if you climb into a big gun and fire off yourself to the other side of town, right?
  • Jan 24 23:47:29 <armenrz> hengsin, take a look at http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1851417&group_id=176962&atid=879332
  • Jan 24 23:47:59 <vpj-cd> haa the issue it the cost is negate and should are only the qty Armen
  • Jan 24 23:48:45 <crooney> armenrz, sorry I was loking at the Wf tracker not the costing one
  • Jan 24 23:48:49 <MCalderon> tobi42: exactly. A nice approach. But somewhere it is fired twice.
  • Jan 24 23:49:20 <armenrz> croo it's ok, how do you progress ?
  • Jan 24 23:49:22 <red1> for mark_o_ commit rights? +1 vote

  • Jan 24 23:50:30 <MCalderon> tobi42: I am comparing my document with the log to see who is responsible for the sencond call
  • Jan 24 23:51:03 <CarlosRuiz> MCalderon, tobi42
  • Jan 24 23:51:09 <crooney> to be honest Armen I'm not sure :) I create a new human wf Responsible. modified the order completion to need approval and assigned the new wf responsible and it just comlpeted which I'm thinking is what the problem is .. so now I'm just running again with your changes to see what happens
  • Jan 24 23:51:10 <CarlosRuiz> about the prepareit called twice
  • Jan 24 23:51:11 <tobi42> MCalderon: ah, *now* I see. that should be the same reason like with MOrder
  • Jan 24 23:51:20 <hengsin> hi red1. how's your connection there ? slow here ...
  • Jan 24 23:51:28 <tobi42> MCalderon: i.e if (!m_justPrepared)
  • Jan 24 23:51:28 <tobi42> {
  • Jan 24 23:51:29 <tobi42> String status = prepareIt();
  • Jan 24 23:51:29 <tobi42> if (!DocAction.STATUS_InProgress.equals(status))
  • Jan 24 23:51:29 <tobi42> return status;
  • Jan 24 23:51:29 <tobi42> }
  • Jan 24 23:51:29 <MCalderon> CarlosRuiz: yes?
  • Jan 24 23:51:38 <red1> no wonder hengsin ... cant login into SF
  • Jan 24 23:51:45 <CarlosRuiz> yep, that was the lines I was looking for tobi
  • Jan 24 23:51:54 <CarlosRuiz> the m_justPrepared variable is not set
  • Jan 24 23:52:10 <CarlosRuiz> as the prepare is done in a different trx with a different object in the workflow
  • Jan 24 23:52:28 <CarlosRuiz> so, I think instead of looking the m_justPrepared variable we must look directly to the record
  • Jan 24 23:52:54 <CarlosRuiz> the prepareIt put the status = InProgress
  • Jan 24 23:53:06 <tobi42> why not remove these lines?
  • Jan 24 23:53:09 <vpj-cd> yes set inProcess
  • Jan 24 23:53:30 <CarlosRuiz> tobi, we must ensure that prepare is done before complete - in case somebody call completeIt directly
  • Jan 24 23:53:35 <vpj-cd> generally the status process is to reserve the qty onhand
  • Jan 24 23:53:42 * red1^ (n=red1@46.70.49.60.klj04-home.tm.net.my) has joined #adempiere
  • Jan 24 23:53:48 <MCalderon> we should not just remove
  • Jan 24 23:53:55 <hengsin> carlos, the problem could be the multiple thread, multiple trx issue I commented in another workflow related tracker. I'm not sure why JJ have done it that way, it looks unnecessary ...
  • Jan 24 23:54:09 * Disconnected ().
  • Jan 24 23:54:36 <tobi42> prepareIt() should executed before completeIt anyways, right? by the DocumentEngine that is
  • Jan 24 23:55:06 <vpj-cd> yes tobi42
  • Jan 24 23:55:12 <vpj-cd> if you have in the workflow
  • Jan 24 23:55:21 <CarlosRuiz> yep, always prepareIt before completeIt - but as some people can call directly completeIt from the extensions it's better to have the validation
  • Jan 24 23:55:26 <vpj-cd> the WF Engine execute this
  • Jan 24 23:56:48 <tobi42> are these direct calls to preparedIt neccessary? if not, we could eliminate them
  • Jan 24 23:56:57 <armenrz> vpj-cd: the qty is taken wrong from this line: docLine.setQty (Qty, getDocumentType().equals(DOCTYPE_MatShipment));
  • Jan 24 23:57:12 <tobi42> apart from the prepareIt()-call done by the engine
  • Jan 24 23:57:55 <CarlosRuiz> I think they're needed
  • Jan 24 23:58:39 <CarlosRuiz> look for example MOrder.java line 1892
  • Jan 24 23:58:42 <CarlosRuiz> // Manually Process Invoice
  • Jan 24 23:58:42 <CarlosRuiz> String status = invoice.completeIt();
  • Jan 24 23:58:57 <CarlosRuiz> if you drop the lines - then prepareIt won't be called
  • Jan 24 23:59:12 <vpj-cd> Armenrz but we should set or qty or mount I think is only the qty
  • Jan 24 23:59:22 <vpj-cd> -1 * 1000 = -1000
  • Jan 24 23:59:42 <vpj-cd> if we can -1 * -1000 = 1000
  • Jan 24 23:59:44 <hengsin> Carlos, the root of the problem could be in MWFProcess.startNext

  • Jan 25 00:01:14 <crooney> welcome josephnexus
  • Jan 25 00:01:21 <CarlosRuiz> yes hengsin, when WF calls prepareIt, it instantiate one object, and when call completeIt it instantiate a different object - so the m_justPrepared variable is not the same for the second object
  • Jan 25 00:01:27 <josephnexus> and i was wondering if there is a way to copy the whole request window and make it follow the same rules, but have a customized set up fields, and still be able to use the invoice requests process
  • Jan 25 00:01:28 <armenrz> vpj-cd: yes
  • Jan 25 00:01:37 <hengsin> the next node is always start in a new thread , a new transaction ...
  • Jan 25 00:01:38 <vpj-cd> so we need 3 condition DOCTYPE_MatShipment & IsSOTrx=N & MInOut.MOVEMENTTYPE_VendorReturns
  • Jan 25 00:02:08 <armenrz> vpj-cd: have u seen how Compiere 3.0 handle the return ?
  • Jan 25 00:02:25 <vpj-cd> nop
  • Jan 25 00:02:32 <armenrz> it has isReturnTrx() in the doctype
  • Jan 25 00:02:41 <hengsin> this looks unnecessary and poor use of limited database resources.
  • Jan 25 00:02:52 <tobi42> how about replacing String status = invoice.completeIt() in MOrder with DocumentEngine engine = new DocumentEngine (invoice, getDocStatus());
  • Jan 25 00:02:52 <tobi42> engine.processIt (processAction, getDocAction());
  • Jan 25 00:02:56 <armenrz> vpj-cd: meanwhile we can use Movementype
  • Jan 25 00:03:13 <vpj-cd> yes
  • Jan 25 00:03:29 <vpj-cd> what line is Doc_InOut?
  • Jan 25 00:03:33 <vpj-cd> I review now
  • Jan 25 00:03:45 <armenrz> vpj-cd: 87
  • Jan 25 00:04:25 <CarlosRuiz> hengsin - solution could be to reuse the trx and objects - making commit on completion of each node
  • Jan 25 00:04:28 <CarlosRuiz> ?
  • Jan 25 00:04:31 <armenrz> vpj-cd: I propose to have isReturnTrx() in MInOut, because we also need to evaluate this in MatchInv and MatchPO
  • Jan 25 00:06:04 <hengsin> yes, carlos - use the same trx and run it in the same thread. in a multi processor environment, your completeit can finish before the prepareit is done, it is unpredicatable.
  • Jan 25 00:06:35 <vpj-cd> armentrz
  • Jan 25 00:07:09 <vpj-cd> I think that solve in the line 349 the Doc_InOut

  • Jan 25 00:08:15 <vpj-cd> and should else if (getDocumentType().equals(DOCTYPE_MatShipment) && !isSOTrx() && getMovementType().equals( MInOut.MOVEMENTTYPE_VendorReturns))
  • Jan 25 00:08:17 <armenrz> but the qty has already taken wrong by line 87
  • Jan 25 00:08:32 <hengsin> line 335 in MWFProcess, need to pass trxName to MWFActivity and line 336, done create new Thread but just call activity.run() instead. Finally in MWFActivity.run(), dont start new Trx if get_TrxName is not null
  • Jan 25 00:08:37 <CarlosRuiz> hengsin, the node complete is not started until the prepare node is finished
  • Jan 25 00:09:14 <vpj-cd> nop is rigth the qty alwayse have a absolute value
  • Jan 25 00:09:25 <vpj-cd> a return is entry in positive
  • Jan 25 00:09:41 <vpj-cd> the unique tha change it tho negative is the MInOut.MOVEMENTTYPE_VendorReturns
  • Jan 25 00:09:42 <hengsin> ok, Carlos, I could be wrong on that but I think the new Thread is not needed.
  • Jan 25 00:09:43 <armenrz> ok, I'll re-check that once more
  • Jan 25 00:10:08 <katja> SCalderon, I think that should go with material movements, but I will ckeck later today, how does it work with LOT number.
  • Jan 25 00:10:08 <vpj-cd> I path in call out
  • Jan 25 00:10:38 <vpj-cd> tha when you choose a doctype base return vendor set the movement type to MInOut.MOVEMENTTYPE_VendorReturns
  • Jan 25 00:10:45 <CarlosRuiz> without Thread the window will be locked - not the current 15 seconds wait?
  • Jan 25 00:10:52 <hengsin> tobi42: since you are testing this, maybe you can try out my suggestion ...
  • Jan 25 00:10:56 <vpj-cd> a return do not is entry in negative

  • Jan 25 00:11:07 <vpj-cd> as any document
  • Jan 25 00:11:16 <vpj-cd> the unique negative are the reversed
  • Jan 25 00:11:18 <CarlosRuiz> hmmm, and if we use the same trx in two threads it could raise locking conditions

  • Jan 25 01:26:06 <CarlosRuiz> yep, why do you need scriptengine? if the "@script:groovy:mycallout" is saying groovy as the engine?
  • Jan 25 01:26:08 <stefan__> MCalderon ich gebe es für heute auf
  • Jan 25 01:26:35 <vpj-cd> yes Carlos I can use @script:groovy:mycallout or field
  • Jan 25 01:26:48 <crooney> i think sf maybe having problems ... waiting 5 mins for a new page but I thought it might just be my connection
  • Jan 25 01:26:50 <crooney> neat!
  • Jan 25 01:26:52 <crooney> I like the interpreted languages for small business rule changes though because they can change on the fly
  • Jan 25 01:26:54 <vpj-cd> but I am think in other case model validator
  • Jan 25 01:26:56 <crooney> never considered the sucurity though as some suggested
  • Jan 25 01:27:04 <crooney> vpj-cd, interesting ... I think I should consider upgrading to java 6 :)
  • Jan 25 01:27:04 <vpj-cd> validation rule
  • Jan 25 01:27:16 <vpj-cd> croo do not is necessary
  • Jan 25 01:27:22 <vpj-cd> I am run with java 5
  • Jan 25 01:27:26 <crooney> yes as I say very intersting ... I must make some to time to check that out
  • Jan 25 01:27:31 <vpj-cd> i have source and compile to java 5
  • Jan 25 01:27:43 <vpj-cd> I set with groovy and are work
  • Jan 25 01:27:55 <vpj-cd> i compile the javax.script to java 5 :-)
  • Jan 25 01:28:00 <hengsin> Carlos, your patch looks good to me.
  • Jan 25 01:28:34 <vpj-cd> my doubts is what is way to indicate the script engine in model validator
  • Jan 25 01:28:56 <vpj-cd> to call out is solve with @script:groovy:mycallout
  • Jan 25 01:29:05 <vpj-cd> but to other functionality
  • Jan 25 01:29:17 <vpj-cd> this are reason I want indicate it in the rule
  • Jan 25 01:29:18 <MCalderon> CarlosRuiz: I am going to test it
  • Jan 25 01:29:32 <jsSolutions> special day for us! so far, more bugs closed than opened
  • Jan 25 01:30:06 * stefan__ has quit (Read error: 104 (Connection reset by peer))
  • Jan 25 01:30:13 <crooney> vpj-cd, haven't thought much about the details but yeah would be very useful in validation
  • Jan 25 01:30:14 <crooney> haven'ty used a rules engine in years but when I did once it was very powerful ...
  • Jan 25 01:30:20 <josephnexus> jssolutions
  • Jan 25 01:30:23 <josephnexus> yeah
  • Jan 25 01:30:25 <MCalderon> I am going for a quick lunch....
  • Jan 25 01:30:27 <josephnexus> it's been quite exciting in here
  • Jan 25 01:30:30 * MCalderon is now known as MCalderon_away
  • Jan 25 01:30:30 <josephnexus> see ya mcalderon
  • Jan 25 01:30:37 <CarlosRuiz> "provecho" Mario :-)
  • Jan 25 01:30:42 <CarlosRuiz> así dicen por allá
  • Jan 25 01:30:46 <vpj-cd> yes croo yesterday Carlos implemnt with beans shell
  • Jan 25 01:31:04 <vpj-cd> en mexico tambien
  • Jan 25 01:31:12 <vpj-cd> buen provecho
  • Jan 25 01:31:22 <CarlosRuiz> yep, I would like to extend it also for small processes
  • Jan 25 01:31:29 <CarlosRuiz> some times you need to write processes that just do one update
  • Jan 25 01:31:36 <CarlosRuiz> and modelvalidators
  • Jan 25 01:31:43 * goanookie has quit ("This computer has gone to sleep")
  • Jan 25 01:31:46 <vpj-cd> croo I now implement javax.script
  • Jan 25 01:31:55 <CarlosRuiz> but I haven't thought how to integrate it with modelvalidator
  • Jan 25 01:31:58 <vpj-cd> so you can use the script language that you wish
  • Jan 25 01:32:03 <vpj-cd> yes
  • Jan 25 01:32:09 <vpj-cd> Carlos mi pregunta
  • Jan 25 01:32:21 <vpj-cd> es yo puedo indicar la maquina de escript
  • Jan 25 01:32:36 <hwinke1> HI.... After reading nearly the whole adempiere wiki i have one short question... I tested Tiny the last days and have seen a showstopper in the invoicing functionality
  • Jan 25 01:32:45 <vpj-cd> de esta manera @script:groovy:mycall
  • Jan 25 01:32:50 <vpj-cd> asi no requiero agregar campo
  • Jan 25 01:32:57 <vpj-cd> pero cunado se implemente para otra cosa
  • Jan 25 01:33:05 <hwinke1> If you write a, lets say invoice in Adempiere
  • Jan 25 01:33:47 <hwinke1> and later on the data of a businesspartner (customer) changed...
  • Jan 25 01:33:48 <vpj-cd> o si hay otra idea
  • Jan 25 01:33:56 <vpj-cd> podriamos decir
  • Jan 25 01:34:02 <vpj-cd> que el search key inicio con
  • Jan 25 01:34:11 <crooney> hwinke1, like their address?
  • Jan 25 01:34:30 <hwinke1> yes like adress
  • Jan 25 01:34:59 <hwinke1> and i open and print the document again, which adddress is used in THIS document
  • Jan 25 01:35:24 <vpj-cd> groovy:FillDescriptionWithName
  • Jan 25 01:35:28 <vpj-cd> or
  • Jan 25 01:35:40 <vpj-cd> beanshell:FillDescriptionWithName
  • Jan 25 01:35:48 <crooney> well that's a good question :)
  • Jan 25 01:36:17 <CarlosRuiz> Victor, I think all the next implementations of scripting must follow the same standard
  • Jan 25 01:36:18 <crooney> th enew address is used ... BUT
  • Jan 25 01:36:23 <hwinke1> Or lets say you have made a qoute to a customer, next day the PRoduct Price is changed... wich price is in the given Document ?
  • Jan 25 01:36:41 <CarlosRuiz> so, when we implement a process it must be called @script:groovy:myprocess - and the same for validators ...
  • Jan 25 01:36:41 * Der_Ali has quit (Read error: 104 (Connection reset by peer))
  • Jan 25 01:36:42 <crooney> in adempiere there is a thing called archives
  • Jan 25 01:36:49 <crooney> and you can set the automated archives to be add different levels
  • Jan 25 01:37:11 <crooney> so you can say ALL external documents are archived automatically
  • Jan 25 01:37:26 <vpj-cd> I set this way
  • Jan 25 01:37:27 <hwinke1> What means external documents ?
  • Jan 25 01:37:33 <crooney> then when you print an external document such as an invoice
  • Jan 25 01:37:34 <crooney> and pdf archive copy is craeted
  • Jan 25 01:38:13 <vpj-cd> but then is necessary that you called groovy:FillDescriptionWithName in serachkey in AD_Rule
  • Jan 25 01:38:16 <crooney> well yuo can define that yourself it can mean anything but here I mean documents sent external to your business
  • Jan 25 01:38:19 <tobi42> CarlosRuiz I tested your patch. looks good :-)
  • Jan 25 01:38:44 <crooney> you have the system running right? if you open the invoice window
  • Jan 25 01:39:08 <crooney> pick any invoice and click on the print preview icon
  • Jan 25 01:39:14 <hwinke1> no adempiere is not up and running yet...
  • Jan 25 01:39:17 <crooney> a printer with a magnifying glass
  • Jan 25 01:39:22 <hwinke1> sorry... tomorrow
  • Jan 25 01:39:36 <tobi42> CarlosRuiz: but as we now allow the same instance to be passed between activities, couldn't this lead to two threads accessing the same instance, if there is a fork in a workflow?
  • Jan 25 01:39:50 <vpj-cd> Carlos it are redary
  • Jan 25 01:39:52 <vpj-cd> and test
  • Jan 25 01:39:53 <crooney> ok then well it create an archive which is a pdf file stored in the DB
  • Jan 25 01:40:08 <vpj-cd> now ware work with same functionality you made
  • Jan 25 01:40:17 <crooney> then for any document you can press the archive button and a list of archived documents will be available
  • Jan 25 01:40:22 <vpj-cd> I commit in trunk
  • Jan 25 01:40:25 <crooney> so you can just reprint the precise document you printed the first time!
  • Jan 25 01:40:48 <tobi42> CarlosRuiz hengsin MCalderon: or are activities performed one after each other, even if the workflow forks?
  • Jan 25 01:41:15 <crooney> hwinke1, as I say you can switch that on to auto create for documents reports whatever... you can also manually archive
  • Jan 25 01:41:27 <CarlosRuiz> as I just saw tobi, split can open activities in parallel
  • Jan 25 01:41:35 <vpj-cd> ready now adempiere support any script language
  • Jan 25 01:41:37 <crooney> you just preview the document, hit they archive button and it's stored
  • Jan 25 01:41:42 <vpj-cd> and callout
  • Jan 25 01:41:43 <vpj-cd> :-)
  • Jan 25 01:41:51 <vpj-cd> into callout
  • Jan 25 01:41:59 <hwinke1> I'm just courios about, because nearly all ERP systems not desgined in Germany have this "issue" so far I know the systems here each document has it own livecycle, Data are copied in to this documents and are not a reference
  • Jan 25 01:42:06 <CarlosRuiz> what's needed to support groovy Victor? just add the jar?
  • Jan 25 01:42:30 <vpj-cd> is add 2 jar
  • Jan 25 01:42:40 <CarlosRuiz> tobi42: ... thinking on "couldn't this lead to two threads accessing the same instance, if there is a fork in a workflow?"
  • Jan 25 01:42:58 <vpj-cd> nop 3 jar
  • Jan 25 01:43:01 <CarlosRuiz> great, so we can upload the jar and we support groovy too - big improvement Victor
  • Jan 25 01:43:20 <crooney> hwinke1, well as I say we just store the id of the address so if it changes so would the newly printed doc but the old onces are store in pdf form so they don't change
  • Jan 25 01:43:21 <vpj-cd> jsr223.jar
  • Jan 25 01:43:40 <hwinke1> crooney, same question with a Qoute given to a customer and the price is changed later on... I also neeed to go to the archieved PDF ?
  • Jan 25 01:43:46 <CarlosRuiz> ... thinking on consequences of two threads accessing the same PO object
  • Jan 25 01:43:56 <hengsin> Victor: does your integration support the use of GroovyClassLoader ? i.e implement Callout or ModelValidator in groovy and invoke just like normal java callout ?
  • Jan 25 01:44:04 <tobi42> CarlosRuiz: how about this: instead of passing the instance itself we pass a clone of it?
  • Jan 25 01:44:04 <vpj-cd> update bsh 2 version
  • Jan 25 01:44:14 <crooney> if you are sending, multiple quotes and want to review how it changed yes
  • Jan 25 01:44:32 <vpj-cd> and bsh-engine.jar
  • Jan 25 01:44:33 <CarlosRuiz> yes tobi, it sounds better
  • Jan 25 01:44:35 <vpj-cd> to grooby
  • Jan 25 01:44:43 <vpj-cd> is groovy library
  • Jan 25 01:44:59 <vpj-cd> and groovy-engine.jar
  • Jan 25 01:45:10 <vpj-cd> and so any script engine
  • Jan 25 01:45:15 <vpj-cd> you ant
  • Jan 25 01:45:22 <crooney> hwinke1, well a quote can be converted to an order too ... so you just convert the last one .. but if you wanted to review how it was changing you could archieve each and review laters
  • Jan 25 01:45:31 <vpj-cd> yes Low
  • Jan 25 01:45:43 <vpj-cd> now I call use the standard javax.script
  • Jan 25 01:46:01 <vpj-cd> ScriptEngine engine = factory.getEngineByName("beanshell");
  • Jan 25 01:46:07 <vpj-cd> or ScriptEngine engine = factory.getEngineByName("groovy");
  • Jan 25 01:46:14 <crooney> tehy pdf is withing the App by the way .. you don't need to go outside of it to review the pdf
  • Jan 25 01:46:16 <vpj-cd> engine.eval(fact).toString();
  • Jan 25 01:46:22 <crooney> hwinke1, although you can export it if you wish
  • Jan 25 01:47:00 <CarlosRuiz> Victor - the script editor window will just serve for beanshell - it could be changed to add a field specifying the engine
  • Jan 25 01:47:17 <crooney> there is history keep on some things such as prices or exhange rates
  • Jan 25 01:47:22 <CarlosRuiz> tobi42: how do we clone the PO ?
  • Jan 25 01:47:31 <hengsin> Victor - http://groovy.codehaus.org/Embedding+Groovy, see the TestInterface.java example, do your implementation support usage of that approach ?
  • Jan 25 01:47:31 <fer_luck> it would be nice to be able to execute sql form the scripts in groovy/beanshell
  • Jan 25 01:47:32 <fer_luck> :-D
  • Jan 25 01:48:00 <CarlosRuiz> you can fer_luck
  • Jan 25 01:48:01 <vpj-cd> yes I think we can
  • Jan 25 01:48:04 <crooney> pricelists have from to dates
  • Jan 25 01:48:05 <tobi42> CarlosRuiz: so how about I add a method like "cloneDocAction" to the interface and add it to all implementors? I have no idea about how Object.clone() works...
  • Jan 25 01:48:08 <vpj-cd> no Low
  • Jan 25 01:48:17 <vpj-cd> I use this foucus
  • Jan 25 01:48:25 <fer_luck> CarlosRuiz: just one thing, what about a smart user that executes a select * from ad_user? :-)
  • Jan 25 01:48:27 <vpj-cd> http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GROOVY/JSR+223+Scripting+with+Groovy
  • Jan 25 01:48:32 <vpj-cd> i use the standard
  • Jan 25 01:48:32 <hwinke1> cronney: have a look here: http://tinyerp.org/wiki/index.php/Main/GermanNeedsEn
  • Jan 25 01:48:34 <fer_luck> or try to do a malicious insert?
  • Jan 25 01:48:36 <CarlosRuiz> exactly - that's the issue with security
  • Jan 25 01:48:38 <CarlosRuiz> you can't open that for users
  • Jan 25 01:48:39 <vpj-cd> and are wotk to bsh aalso
  • Jan 25 01:48:44 <CarlosRuiz> a user can do a DROP TABLE :-)
  • Jan 25 01:48:48 <hwinke1> scroll down to historic data
  • Jan 25 01:49:00 <fer_luck> for example. or find out what's the password of the company director. :-)
  • Jan 25 01:49:10 <hengsin> Carlos, tobi - parallel thread updating the same table, same record - we can have deadlock or conflicting changes too ...
  • Jan 25 01:49:14 <vpj-cd> now a can execute any script
  • Jan 25 01:49:14 <fer_luck> unless we sanitize the sql. :-)
  • Jan 25 01:49:19 <vpj-cd> out modify the code
  • Jan 25 01:49:31 <vpj-cd> out = without
  • Jan 25 01:50:18 <crooney> fer_luck, CarlosRuiz, vpj-cd .. I don't thin kyou can ever get around this and must as Carlos suggested place the burden on those who are allowed to write new scripts
  • Jan 25 01:50:38 <CarlosRuiz> even worst - hengsin the run() is changing the transaction for the PO
  • Jan 25 01:51:06 <fer_luck> crooney: it's best of course to do that
  • Jan 25 01:51:09 <hengsin> yes, VERY fragile ...
  • Jan 25 01:51:51 <CarlosRuiz> yep tobi42, maybe we could implement clone() method and interface Cloneable in DocAction
  • Jan 25 01:52:24 <hwinke1> here ist a tread about historic data has also a reference to ofbiz: http://www.tinyerp.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=132
  • Jan 25 01:52:38 <vpj-cd> ok the now work neext way
  • Jan 25 01:52:44 <hengsin> Carlos, that doesn't resolve the parallel thread updating the same table, same record issue though - we need to work/think further on this.
  • Jan 25 01:53:09 <vpj-cd> you call a script next way
  • Jan 25 01:53:21 <vpj-cd> in callout field you set
  • Jan 25 01:53:40 <vpj-cd> @script:groovy:mycallout
  • Jan 25 01:53:52 <tobi42> but wouldn't those instance have different transactions and thus be serialized by jdbc? I think a trx is atomic, isn't it
  • Jan 25 01:54:12 <vpj-cd> @script:beanshell:mycallout
  • Jan 25 01:54:37 <tobi42> hengsin: so there would be no deadlock....i guess....
  • Jan 25 01:55:03 <CarlosRuiz> what if we implement a waiting for the thread
  • Jan 25 01:55:08 <vpj-cd> whe you create the rule you have set the search key next way grooby:mycallout
  • Jan 25 01:55:15 <vpj-cd> i sorry
  • Jan 25 01:55:22 <vpj-cd> groovy:mycallout
  • Jan 25 01:55:53 <hengsin> tobi: the potential of conflicting changes and dead lock is there, you can clone the PO but they still update same table, same record.
  • Jan 25 01:56:11 <hengsin> carlos, maybe waiting can work ...
  • Jan 25 01:56:20 <hengsin> worth a trial.
  • Jan 25 01:56:41 <CarlosRuiz> tobi42: can you implement some waiting mechanism after starting the thread?
  • Jan 25 01:57:08 <hengsin> carlos, that is easy, Thread t = new Thread(), t.join()
  • Jan 25 01:57:26 * MCalderon_away is now known as MCalderon
  • Jan 25 01:57:32 <MCalderon> hi I am back
  • Jan 25 01:58:34 <MCalderon> I see 1854603 is still hot on top
  • Jan 25 01:58:35 <hengsin> victor: the jsr approach is nice but I think it hide the real power or groovyscripting ...
  • Jan 25 02:00:06 <tobi42> hengsin carlos i think we just need to make MWFActivity.run sychronized
  • Jan 25 02:00:44 <hengsin> tobi - how's that help ?
  • Jan 25 02:01:01 <tobi42> then differend DocAction would run in parallel , but the same instance could still be passed between activities and would run one after another...
  • Jan 25 02:01:12 <hengsin> we are not talking about java thread deadlock here but db deadlock ...
  • Jan 25 02:02:23 <tobi42> right, but with carloz patch we have (same table and same row) means (same PO in two instances)
  • Jan 25 02:02:44 <CarlosRuiz> Heng Sin, can we implement the main thread to continue running (the menu and windows) - but the avoid that WF Engine starts a new activity if the previous hasn't finished?
  • Jan 25 02:02:54 <tobi42> and with run beeing synchronized they run after each other
  • Jan 25 02:03:12 <tobi42> so there should be no db deadlock either
  • Jan 25 02:04:42 <CarlosRuiz> ue
  • Jan 25 02:05:09 <CarlosRuiz> yep, tobi42 I'm going to change to another bug, you can continue tuning this, ok?
  • Jan 25 02:05:16 <CarlosRuiz> I like the waiting or synchronizing approach
  • Jan 25 02:05:46 <CarlosRuiz> but it will be great if the main thread (menu and windows) can continue running and the WF thread is what is waiting and synchronized
  • Jan 25 02:05:56 <CarlosRuiz> but if that's hard - I'll support also to put the main thread in wait
  • Jan 25 02:06:06 <CarlosRuiz> it's safer
  • Jan 25 02:06:48 <tobi42> me too. hengsin i'm not very experiences with threading an t.join(), do you think it's better than "public synchronized void run()" in MWFActivity?
  • Jan 25 02:09:13 <hengsin> synchronized method is to serialize concurrent execution of the same instance only.
  • Jan 25 02:10:10 <CarlosRuiz> mark_o_: AYT?
  • Jan 25 02:11:09 <hengsin> tobi, can you try this - with carlos's patch, remove the new thread code like what you have change earlier ( exclude the passing of trxname ) ?
  • Jan 25 02:11:50 <hengsin> I mean the line 335 and 336 in MWFProcess.
  • Jan 25 02:12:37 <tobi42> hengsin: 1st about the synchronized: if I understand it right, same serialization of instance would be enough. cause with carlos patch, (same instance) <=> (same database table and row)
  • Jan 25 02:12:45 <tobi42> 2nd: ok, i'll try
  • Jan 25 02:13:49 <hengsin> synchronized method of MWFActivity is synchronize on MWFActivitiy instance, not m_po.
  • Jan 25 02:14:28 <mark_o_> CarlosRuiz jepp
  • Jan 25 02:14:58 <tobi42> hengsin: now i get it, thx for your patience :)
  • Jan 25 02:15:25 <CarlosRuiz> I see we can put comments in the invoice - it's right it works for me - just wondering then what the "UNION -- comment lines" on the C_InvoiceLineTax_V
  • Jan 25 02:15:38 <CarlosRuiz> it's not serving for anything - anyways we can just left it there
  • Jan 25 02:15:43 <mark_o_> jepp, i was wondering too
  • Jan 25 02:15:43 <CarlosRuiz> it's harmless
  • Jan 25 02:16:03 <mark_o_> but i didnt want to touch that
  • Jan 25 02:16:16 <CarlosRuiz> yep, agree
  • Jan 25 02:16:22 <CarlosRuiz> so, we can close the bug
  • Jan 25 02:16:34 <mark_o_> ok, i'll do that. thanx
  • Jan 25 02:16:53 <CarlosRuiz> AFalcone: how are you going with the [ 1871567 ] Wrong value in Payment document
