Tab: Sales Region

Description : Sales Region

Help : The Sales Region Tab defines the different regions where you do business. Sales Regions can be used when generating reports or calculating commissions. A Business Partner location can be attached to one Sales Region. One Sales Rep can be attached to each Sales Region. A Sales Rep is an Adempiere user. Maintenance access is via Menu/Quote/Sales/Sales Region. Regions are stored in the C_SalesRegion table and Sales Region data dictionary entry.

Sales Regions can be created in a nested or tree hierarchy. Set branch nodes with the Summary Level checkbox. In the tree view, drag child nodes under branch nodes to arrange your hierarchy.

There are two reasons for de-activating and not deleting records: (1) The system requires the record for audit purposes. (2) The record is referenced by other records. E.g., you cannot delete a Business Partner, if there are invoices for this partner record existing. You de-activate the Business Partner and prevent that this record is used for future entries.
