ADempiere Packages
Create Packages for the most popular Distributions
Goal of this smal Project is to create installation Packages for the most Popular architectures, operation systems and distributions. For Windows we have the Installer created by Kai Schaeffer. Now i want to start smal effort to create such packages for Linux distributions and other supported operation systems like:
- Ubuntu/Debian
- OpenSuse
- Freebsd
- Gentoo
- Solaris
- Mac OS X
Some time ago Victor Perez created a plattform independend package using IZ Pack. This can be one way for many plattforms.
Default Installation Location
For Unix like Systems we should define a default installation directory.
Example 1: /opt/Adempiere Example 2: /u01/app/Adempiere
this would be the default directory for packages like rpm or deb packages.
Create Distribution Repositorys
It would be nice to create repositorys where newest packages are included for each distribution
